LOIS – Location One Information System

Decorah and Winneshiek County are participants in the LOIS (Location One Information
System), a state-of-the-art on-line site selection application that is used by 12 states,
including all of the Upper Midwest states.

LOIS enables Decorah and Winneshiek County to publish building, site and community
information that may be sought by site selectors and others seeking to move, expand or
start up a business in our area.

LOIS is designed to be accessed easily from the user’s website without passwords,
memberships or costs, and includes information about Winneshiek County, each
incorporated town in the county as well as site and building records.
